PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a volatile organic compound content to an environmentally allowable permit level by dampening an emission through an adiabatic dampener to a saturation state, then separating a gaseous constituent from the moisture of the dampened emission and condensing the moisture to collect a condensate and further, separating ethanol. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas saturated by a gas containing a small quantity of a water-soluble organic compound such as ethanol originating from an emission from a baking oven 1, is caused to pass through the exhaust cylinders 4, 5 and the duct 6 of the oven 1 and an adiabatic dampener 2 to dampen the emission to a saturation state. In this case, the moisture which is not evaporated by the adiabatic dampener 2 is guided into a reservoir 12 through piping 14 to have an ethanol content separated. On the other hand, the dampened emission is caused to pass through the evaporation chamber 30 of a heat exchanger 3 from the adiabatic dampener 2, and the gaseous constituent of the dampened emission is separated from the moisture to condense the moisture and separate the ethanol content from the condensate.
|
