1525767 Safety closures KURT VOGELSANG GmbH 2 Sept 1976 [2 Oct 1975] 36400/76 Heading B8T An acrylic-butadiene-styrene protective cap 2 for an aerosol container 1 is released therefrom by inserting a tool, e.g. a screwdriver, through an aperture 13 in outer skirt 3 and into a slit 12 in inner skirt 4, movement of the tool to widen the slit releasing rim 8 on skirt 4 from its snapon engagement with nozzle assembly 10 and thereby allowing the cap to be pulled off. Aperture 13 may initially be closed by a tamperindicating foil. The chosen plastics material combines necessary resilience with an ability to receive printing and to receive and retain a coating of lacquer, the last mentioned attribute being of particular value when the cap is required to indicate the colour of a lacquer stored in the container. |
