A functional polybutylene comprises an acryl group(s) in its molecule. The polymer has the formula (i)-(xiii). In the formulae, Z = polybutylene chain; G = 2-10C alkylene; G' = 1-10C alkylene; L = H, or a 1-18C alkyl; R" is selected from (m)ethyl, and propyl; and R' is selected from 1-6C alkyl radicals. Also claimed is a functionalised polybutylene prepared by reacting (a) an anhydride-functional polybutylene with (b) an acryl-functional compound having an OH-containing group(s) in its molecule. |
