PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developing sheet for pressure-sensitive copy sheet, and a production method thereof, excellent in color developing properties and exhibiting desensitization effect even when the quantity of desensitization ink is small at the time of desensitization printing. SOLUTION: The color developing sheet for pressure-sensitive copy sheet comprises a developer layer formed by coating a support with an aqueous coating liquid containing a derivative of multivalent metal salt of nuclear substitution aromatic carboxylic acid, a pigment and a binder wherein the aqueous coating liquid contains a vinyl polymer causing gelation upon heating in an aqueous medium. The may contain zinc sulfide. The color developing sheet is produced by mixing the vinyl polymer having aforementioned characteristics with the organic developer and the pigment to prepare a developer layer coating liquid, applying the coating liquid to the support for form a coating layer and then thermally gelling and drying the coating layer. |
