PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction changing method for a pipe lining material capable of changing the direction of a pipe lining material with good operativity and efficiency. SOLUTION: One end of a pipe lining material with a rope 5 taken inside from one end so as to be fixed to a predetermined position of the inner wall is folded back outward and fixed to a fixing nozzle 24 mounted on the ground. With water poured into the folded-back part of the pipe lining material 1, the pipe lining material 1 is inserted reversely into a pipe path 20 from the ground substantially vertically. When the pipe lining material 1 reaches the bottom of the pipe, by lowering the position of the fixing nozzle 24 for a predetermined amount and pulling the rope 5 upward, the reversing direction of the pipe lining material 1 is changed to the direction substantially vertical with respect to the opening part of the pipe path 20. According to the configuration, since the reversing direction of the pipe lining material 1 can be changed by pulling the rope 5 upward, the direction of the pipe lining material 1 can be changed with good oprativity and efficiency from the ground without taking out the water used for reversing the pipe lining material 1.
