<p>PURPOSE:To realize the collection of data and application in a wide range for a desk-top computer without lowering the controllability, by constituting a part of the desk top computer including a key input device as a new portable computer. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a desk-top computer consists of a keyboard 13 having almost the same size and arrangement of keys as a standard typewriter, a liquid crystal display device 15, a printer 14 of a light-weight and compact structure that can be driven by batteries, and others. An extension box 16 consists of ten keys 17 for input of figures, a function key 18 capable of designating a special function, and others. The main body 12 is connected to the box 16 mechanically and electrically; and a keyboard 19, ten keys 23 and a function key 22 are substantially on the same plane. A CPU plus ROM and RAM of a main memory are provided to the main body 12, and an input device to a computer is formed with the keyboard 13. The battery incorporated into the main body 2 supplies the working power to the main body and is at the same time charged by an external power source or the power source of the box 16.</p> |
