PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat radiated from a fixing means from being retained on the lower side of a transfer paper guiding plate and to effectively perform cooling by providing the guiding plate for guiding transfer paper on which a toner image is transferred to the fixing means and equipped with plural apertures in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The guiding plate 46 for guiding the transfer paper on which the toner image is transferred in a transfer area to the fixing means is disposed between a pair of side wall members 411 constituting a photoreceptor supporting means 41. The plate 46 is constituted of a transfer paper guiding part 461 whose lower surface functions as a transfer paper guiding surface and a reinforcing part 462 provided over the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the plate 46. The guiding part 461 is equipped with plural apertures 463 in the longitudinal direction, and the downstream side ends of the plural apertures 463 in a transfer paper carrying direction are opened when they reach the downstream side end of the guiding part 461 in the transfer paper carrying direction. The plural apertures 463 act to discharge hot air warmed by the heat radiated from the fixing means.
