PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and quality by providing a jigsaw with capabilities of not only cutting, but also removing burrs and chamfering both upper and lower cut edges which used to be performed as a separate operation at a later stage. CONSTITUTION:This is a jigsaw provided with cutting edges 3, used for cutting only, and chamfering edges 4, which remove burrs and perform chamfering, each type of edges being arranged alternately. Saw setting of the chamfering edges 4 are made larger than saw setting 5 of the cutting edges 3, and the roots 8 of chamfering edges 4 are made slender so that the chamfering edges are able to take an elastic backward distortion. As the jigsaw moves forward and backward, the chamfering edges 4 remove burrs from upper and lower corners 12, 12' with their outer edges 13, 13', and perform chamfering at the same time. As the forward and backward motions proceed, the chamfering edges 4 are elastically warped by a lateralpressure 15 and pushed into the groove 11 which has been cut by the cutting edges 3, and perform removing of burrs and chamfering only but not cutting. |
