PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively form a shield area by a little shield gas. SOLUTION: A tapered cylindrical flow passage forming member 28 forming a gap becoming an assist shield gas path 27 is concentrically arranged inside the gradually contracted part 14 of the tip of a torch main body 19. An assist shield gas flow rate adjusting member 30 blocking the assist shield gas path 27 is mounted between the tip of the torch main body 19 and the flow passage forming member 28. A hole 31 for gas passing-through promotion, jetting comparatively much assist shield gas 34, is formed on the upper half part of the assist shield gas flow rate adjusting member 30. Also, a hole 32 for gas passing- through control for a comparatively little assist shield gas 34 is formed in the lower half part of the assist shield gas flow rate adjusting member 30.
