<p>The electric furnace providing melting of metal is operating with the DC and it contains the vat (1) bounded by the bottom (11) covered by the fire resistant crucible (15) and the side wall (12), while this vat is closed with the use of the movable cover (12) of an arch shape, however it also contains at least one arch electrode (2) being able to be absorbed located in a vertical direction able to be moved trough the arch of the cover (13) and at least one stabile electrode (3) located in the crucible (15). The arch electrodes (2) and crucible electrodes (3) are connected, with the use of the appropriate supply lines (22) a backward lines (5) to the appropriate terminals (41, 42) closed to the DC power supply (4), in order to create at least one electric arc (20) between the electrode (2) able to be absorbed and raw material, iron scratch as for instance placed and being melted in the furnace, while the appropriate metal hot melt (16) is created. This furnace contains at least two backward lines located along the outer side of the bottom (11) of the vat so that, each of them contains the first part creating distance of the band closed to the electrodes (3) up to the distance, where a magnetic field created based on the current is of a negligible importance related to the electric arc, and the second part enabling to connect them to the power supply (4), while the first parts of lines create a distance with the appropriate divergence, in the areas where magnetic fields are compensated to each other.</p> |
