<p>The ridging consists of facing twin walls shaped to form an intake hood (6), a trap (7) and a cowl (9) in an arch shape, with an upper panel (13) connected to the wall and forming a seal. The system is made from at least one pair of aluminium profiles fitted together face to face to form the walls of the system and separated by spacers (33) which determine the dimensions of the system. Each wall (10,11) of the ridging can be formed from upper and lower sections joined together by plates (32) mounted on either side of the spacers and made from an insulating material, e.g. a plastics, which breaks the thermal bridge between the upper and lower sections of the system. The intake end of the hood is covered by a grille (36) and it can contain an extractor fan.</p> |
