PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive power storage type air-conditioning system which has a simple constitution and a small size and can utilize the voltage of a battery, as it is, by connecting a DC section in an air-conditioner to a power storing section which is incorporated in the air-conditioner itself. SOLUTION: In a power storage system, a diode bridge BD for rectification rectifies a commercial AC power source AC, and a diode D1 constitutes a power factor improving circuit, together with a control circuit PKC. The power factor improving circuit controls the turning-on/off of a switch element Q1 so that the current flowing from the power source AC an become a sine wave by short- circuiting the voltage rectified, by means of the bridge BD to the element Q1 through a coil L1 and discharging the energy stored in the coil L1, when the element Q1 is turned off. In addition, a DC voltage is obtained across both ends of a smoothing capacitor C1. A motor-drive section MOC drives the compressor CMP of an air-conditioner by using the DC voltage. |
