PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a difference between current car speed and car speed when a constant time running control means is canceled temporarily by estimating a latest accelerator pedal stepping amount which realizes target car speed based on the current car speed and a degree of opening of a throttle at all times and canceling the constant time running control means temporarily when the stepping amount exceeds the stepping amount which is estimated. SOLUTION: Actual car speed, actual degree of opening of a throttle TVOreal, and actual degree of opening of an accelerator APreal which are taken in from various current sensors are measured and memorized (P1, P4). If the judgement of a cruise plug is 1 (P6), constant time running of an automobile is being controlled so that an accelerator pedal is operated and car speed feedback control is operated (P8). An estimated degree of opening of the accelerator APsu for maintaining current target car speed based on the actual degree of opening of the throttle TVOreal and the actual degree of opening of the throttle which is memorized is operated (P10). Since a degree of opening of the accelerator to be canceled is estimated at all times so that the set car speed when the constant time running control is started becomes the same as car speed when the accelerator pedal is stepped in to cancel temporarily, a driver does not feel a sense of incongruity. |
