PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having an extremely effective holding mechanism for a male type terminal with a twisted contact point end, namely an introduction end especially concerned with an improved holding mechanism for a terminal in which the holding force is preferably dispersed across the whole terminal arrangement in a connector housing. SOLUTION: A male type electric terminal 40 comprises a slander flat body 42, a tail part 26 extending to the rear of the body 42, and a contact point part 24 extending to the front of the body 42. The body 42 comprises a holding part 44 which has an increased width and a twisted shape to its plane. The electric connector is provided with a housing 14 having terminal receiving passages 41, and each passage 41 has a pair of side walls 41a standing in a counter position for supporting both sides of the body 42 of the terminal 40. Each passage 41 includes a pair of sloped side walls 41b supporting a twisted holding part 44 for the terminal 40. |
