PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser induced heat mode recording material for producing a stabilized image without fixing any large scale removing substance collector while allowing production of a single sheet. SOLUTION: In a heat mode recording material including an imagewise heating process utilizing a laser emitting light of 700nm or above, at least one thermal recording layer containing a thermally discoloring substance shown by a formula LD.HA (LD represents a colorless or light-cooled leuco coloring matter and HA represents an acid missing acidity through thermal decomposition or evaporation) is provided on a support. The thermal recording layer or other layer on the side of the thermal recording layer contains at least one kind of infrared absorption substance selected from cyanine coloring matter or dihydroperimidine squallylium coloring matter having pair ions of perchloric acid.
