PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the temperature of a lower mount from rising in an outboard motor which forms an expansion chamber for exhaust gas at an upper casing. SOLUTION: The inside of an upper casing 3 is partitioned by a partition wall 33 for water pump chamber and a partition wall 41 for drive shaft. On its front side, a water pump chamber 34 and a drive shaft chamber 42 are formed, and on its rear side, an expansion chamber 36 is formed. The partition wall for water pump chamber is positioned more backward than the partition wall for drive shaft. The rear end of a lower mount formed between the upper casing and a mounting bracket is disposed near the partition wall for the water pump chamber, and its upper end is positioned near the upper end of the partition wall for water pump chamber. |
