PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a member whose strength is a problem though water absorptivity is excellent such as non-woven fabric or the like as a water supply member provided with both of the strength and convenience. SOLUTION: A resin layer 4 composed of silicon resin or the like is formed as a strength holding means on one surface of the non-woven fabric 2 which is a water absorptive base material and a wire netting 3 is arranged between the resin layer 4 and the non-woven fabric 2 as a shape holding means. Also, the resin layer 5 similar to the resin layer is formed on the back surface of the non-woven fabric 2 as well and thus, this water supply member 1 is formed. At the time of use, the sheet-like water supply member 1 is cut in a prescribed width, in the strip shape of 7mm for instance, one end is arranged under nutritious liquid or water and the other end is arranged to an object requiring the water such as a culture medium or the like. Thus, the water and the nutritious liquid are supplied to the object by the capillary phenomenon of the non-woven fabric 2 inside the water supply member 1. Also, the elasticity of the resin layer and a shape holding property provided in the wire netting 3 are combined and the water supply member is easily bent into a prescribed shaped without buckling and keeps the shape. |
