摘要 The invention relates to a method and a slewing apparatus for assembling a bridge, in which an old superstructure of the bridge is replaced by a new superstructure by reusing the old abutments and piers. For this purpose, the new superstructure (6) is rotated through 180 DEG above the old superstructure (3) to be exchanged, that is to say, is brought into position with the deck plate (9) facing down. The old superstructure is subsequently raised and coupled to the new superstructure via the slewing apparatus. The two superstructures are thereafter rotated jointly through 180 DEG about a longitidunal axis, and the new superstructure is lowered. Finally, the old superstructure is removed. The slewing apparatus possesses two wheels, so-called gyro-wheels, which are connected to the end faces of the superstructures. These gyro-wheels are supported on bearing pedestals (10), the axes of which are located outside superstructures to be rotated. The method and the associated slewing apparatus can be used to particular advantage whenever it is not possible to employ a crane and when the region located underneath the bridge has to be especially protected during assembly, for example because it is densely built-up. The outlay necessary for auxiliary and protective structures is comparatively low and the danger caused by parts crashing down is also limited to a minimum in terms of time.
