Secondary winding of an ignition coil belonging to the ignition system of an internal-combustion engine

A secondary winding is proposed, which is intended to be a structural component of an ignition coil whose windings are enveloped in cast resin. The secondary winding is wound with a winding wire (1) on a winding former (2) which is extended and has a flange-like expansion (3) at at least one end. According to the invention, at least one end (4) of the winding wire (1) is connected in an electrically conductive and mechanically fixed manner to a strip-shaped connecting former (6), and this connecting former (6) is secured to the flange-like expansion (3) by bending of a strip section (7). <IMAGE>
