PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel holding mechanism, capable of fitting more tape feeders on the base of a mounter. SOLUTION: This mechanism is for holding the tape reels 54 of tape feeders 10 and is constituted so as to hold a tape reel 54, having dislike flanges formed at both ends of a core on a reel holding surface 12a of a reel plate 12 freely rotatably. In this case, guiding substances 14a-14C arc provided projecting on the reel holding surface 12a, and their tips are bent in the direction of the core, and the internal surfaces of the tips are joined to the internal wall surface of one flange on the side of the reel holding surface 12a, and the tape reel 54 is held in such a way as to be incapable of inclining and falling. A reel shaft 16 is provided projecting freely-slidably on the reel holding surface 12a, and it is formed so that its height may by the thickness of the tape reel 54 or less. The tape reel 54 into which a core has been inserted is movable between a holding position A, where it is held by the guiding substances 14a-14c and a coming-off position B, where one flange turns for unjoined state with the guiding substances 14a-14c. |
