PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an automatic book binding process by controlling the order of image-forming, based on the page turn-over information when one or plural sheets of images stored in an image memory are formed on one of both sides of a recording member with one or plural sheets of images formed on the other side of the recording member respectively. SOLUTION: When a half-folded book binding process, for example, is carried out, the final page N is defined as 12. When an horizontal original image is formed on the inside surface in the half-folded book binding (left-open book binding) process, the image of the 2nd page is formed at the left side of a sheet with the image of the (N-1)-th page (11th page) formed at the right side of the sheet respectively. When a horizontal original image is formed on the outside surface, the image of the N-th page (12th image) is formed at the left side of the sheet, with the image of the 1st page formed at the right side of the sheet respectively. In the same way, the images are formed and put over each other. Then the book binding layout order is reversed, so that the book binding process is carried out in the normal order of page. |
