PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rhythm database which store fundamental frequency templates for voice synthesizing. SOLUTION: The rhythm database hold the fundamental frequency templates for a voice synthesizing system. The rhythm database templates hold the fundamental frequency values related to the sound syllables in a prescribed sentence. These values are applicable to the synthesis of a voiced sentence. These templates are indexed by tone color pattern markings. Predicted tone color marking patterns are generated for each sentence of the text to be synthesized and the predicted patterns of the tone color markings are used to find and optimum template. The template is obtained by computing the fundamental frequency of the base which is pursuable relative to a prescribed non-indexed corpus and relative to the sentence spoken by a human trainer.
