PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply enough ink to a printer and to minimize a non-volatile residue by installing nonfelting net-shaped foam having a specified number of holes per inch and a specified compression ratio. SOLUTION: Nonfelting net-shaped foam is used, the number of holes is made to be about 65-110/inch and the compression ratio is made about 2.0-4.0. Polyether-polyurethane foam is especially suitable as the net-shaped foam. Since no felting process is required for the foam, a non-volatile residue in the foam is reduced relatively to eliminate work to remove the residue. The viscosity of ink which affects the optimum hole side of a warm reservoir and a compression ratio is made typically to be about 1-5cps, or surface tension of about 30-65 dyne/cm. |
