PURPOSE:To ensure the optimum charging regardless change of the temperature and humidity or the aging of toner, by providing a charging device in the course of the dropping path of the toner for a developing device using a double component developer. CONSTITUTION:The toner dropping from a toner tank 7 via a dispenser 8 is charged to -30--15c/g, i.e., the optimum development charging region of the toner by a unipolar ion when passing through between th counter electrodes of a boxer charger 10, and develops an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum 1 via a stirring roll 4, a conveying roll 3 and a developing roll 2. The toner is charged uniformly in a short time while dropping, and the charging degree is easily controlled. |
