PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an integral molding of a covering body and a pad part and consequently contrive to reduce the cost of a steering wheel by a method wherein a rotating means for rotating some part of the mold for molding the steering wheel or a core metal used at the integral molding of the covering body of a steering wheel main body and the pad part to the direction normal to a mold opening direction is equipped. SOLUTION: By both mounting plates 62 and 63 are separated from each other by raising the first and second rod mounting plates 62 and 63 consisting of some part of a rotating means from a base 64, a float core 53 is held so as to direct its recessed part upwards to an upper and a lower molds 51 and 52 in order to house the molding part 54 of the core 53 in the opening part of a core metal 11. Next, by lowering the first rod mounting plate 62, the core 53 is pivoted so as to be held horizontally and the molds are closed and then a resin material is injected in a cavity S so as to mold a covering body over the core metal 11. After that, by raising both the mounting plates 62 and 63, a molded article is separated from the upper and lower molds 51 and 52. Next, the second rod mounting plate 63 is lowered so as to separate the molding part 54 from the covering body in order to pull out the core 53 through the opening part. |
