<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an estimated value of the length of a time needed to download a linked page by providing a sign relating to a parameter in relation with a displayed user selectable link. SOLUTION: Multimedia information such as a web page having a user- selectable hyperlink is displayed. Namely, the system estimates the length of the time needed to complete downloading according to a factor such as a turn-around time. Then the system selects on sign and displays it. Namely, a web page containing an image 48 such as a photograph, three hyperlinks 50, 52 and 54, and a text main body 56 having no hyperlink is displayed. Then signs 58, 60, and 62 are shown nearby the hyperlinks 50, 52, and 54.</p> |
