<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an industrial germicide capable of manifesting excellent germicidal properties and preservation stability, suppressing the dusting and facilitating the handling by compounding an inclusion compound prepared by including a specific isothiazolone compound with a water-soluble glycol-based solvent. SOLUTION: This industrial germicide is obtained by compounding (A) an inclusion compound of (A1 ) 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothazolin-3-one and (A2 ) 2,2- methylenebis(4-chlorophenol) with (B) a water-soluble glycol-based solvent such as a (di)2-4C alkylene glycol or a 2-4C alkylene glycol monoether monol-3C alkyl ether so as to provide (1:0.001) to (1:1) weight ratio of the components A:B. The germicide is prepared as a dosage form, e.g. a solid formulation, a pasty formulation or a dust formulation and used as a polymeric emulsion, a water-based coating material, a spinning oil, a cutting oil, etc.</p> |
