PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a black pigment compsn. which gives a black cured film which has sufficient light-screening capability, adhesiveness, and resistivity and enables a very fine black matrix pattern for a display material to be produced simply and conveniently by incorporating a high-molecular compd. and a titanium black into the same. SOLUTION: A film formed from the black pigment compsn. exhibits such a chromaticity of transmitted light in a wavelength range of 380-780nm that when Y=1.0, then 0.170<=x<=0.270 and 0.190<=y<=0.320. Titanium black used has a primary particle size of 0.01-1μm and a specific surface area of 5-40m<2> /g and is contained in an amt. of 60-80wt.% of the solids in the compsn. The polymer compd. has carboxyl groups and is represented by formula I. The black pigment compsn. is prepd. by dispersing the polymer compd., titanium black, etc., in an org. solvent in the presence of a dispersant with a ball mill, etc., to obtain the above-described chromaticity. The vol. resistivity (at a voltage of 30V or lower) of the resultant cured film (in a thickness of 1-2μm) is set at 10<7>Ω.cm or higher.
|
