<p>The container consists of a base (3) with a lid (2) hinged to one edge, and an elastic tongue (6) which projects on the inside of the lid adjacent to the hinge and is held under tension against the base when the lid is closed. The elastic tongue (6) projects at right angles to the side of the container lid so that in the closed position it projects above the plane of the joint between the base and lid. The length of the tongue is selected so that it is related to the limit of elasticity of the material it is made from and ensures a distribution of stresses.</p> |
