<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance color reproducibility by eliminating color shift through a relatively simple structure and to enhance resolution by enhancing the reproducibility of a monochromatic image especially including a black character or halftone. SOLUTION: A light source section 204 for forming full color image and a light source section 10 for forming monochromatic image are disposed on the upper end face of an exposure casing 214. An aperture 216 is made on the light emitting face side of the light source section 204 for forming full color image in order to limit spreading of light from a plurality of LED chips 208. The light source section 10 for forming monochromatic image comprises a white color light source 12, and a spatial modulation element, i.e., a liquid crystal chip 14, and the light emitted from the white color light source 12 and passed through the liquid crystal chip 14 serves as a light source for exposure. The light source section 10 for forming monochromatic image is dedicated for character or monochromatic image and it is applied only when a character or a monochromatic image is included in an image data.</p> |
