PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly and disassembly operations for ignition system electrical parts by setting up a magneto coil, an ignition timing detector, an ignition controller and an ignition coil in a mounting housing fixed to the vicinity of a projecting area of a crankshaft in an engine body. CONSTITUTION:A cupped mounting housing 28 opening upward is clamped to the vicinity of a projecting area of a crankshaft 21, clamping a flywheel 22 to the end at an engine body 12A in an outboard motor, by means of a bolt 29, and ignition system electrical parts are subassembled to this mounting housing 28 before being clamped to the engine body 12A of the said housing 28. That is to say, a magneto coil 30 and a pulser coil 31 are attached to a projecting end around equivalent part of the crankshaft 21 on a cupped inner surface of the mounting housing 28. In addition, a condenser discharge ignition controller, where the magneto coil 30 and the pulser coil 31 are connected to each other, and an ignition coil (unillustrated herein either side), where this CDI controller is connected, are attached to an outer edge of the mounting housing 28. |
