PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a molding without damaging foamed glass particles by a method wherein a fusion kneaded matter is charged in the cylinder of a kneader and, under the state that its internal pressure is lowered by discharging an internally generated gas, foamed glass particles are fed in the kneader and kneaded uniformly so as to transfer the resultant kneaded matter in a mold for molding. SOLUTION: A predetermined amount of synthetic resin powdered or granular materials 11 is charged from a hopper 10 in the cylinder of a screw type kneader 12 and transferred successively along the groove of a screw to an outlet side. In this case, the synthetic resin powdered or granular materials 11 are melted through the heating of the cylinder and fusion frictional heat into a kneaded matter having the desired viscosity and density. By discharging moisture, gas and the like generating at that time through a deaerating port 13, the pressure within the cylinder is lowered, resulting in making the density of the kneaded matter smaller. Next, a predetermined amount of the foamed glass particles in a hopper 14 is charged in the kneaded matter and uniformly dispersed by kneading so as to transfer the kneaded matter, which is brought under a desired kneaded state, in a mold 16 in order to obtain a desired molded body. |
