Retractable perfusion-occlusion bypass catheter

A blood stopping catheter comprises first and second elongate tubular members and first and second inflatable balloons disposed in a spaced relation along the first elongate tubular member. The second elongate tubular member communicates with the first and second inflatable balloons for inflation thereof so that when the catheter is inserted in an artery through an incision the first and second balloons are positioned on each side of the incision, and inflating the first and second balloons stops the blood flow from the incision while allowing blood flow through the first elongate tubular member. <IMAGE>
