The production process is based around a plastic moulding die tool that has two halves (21,22) that open to allow the insertion of high quality foils (10,11) that carry printed information on the surface. The foils are sucked into position on the die tool surface. One of the foils has an attached integrated circuit module (13) . When correctly located the die halves are closed and the card is formed by the injection of the main plastic material. |
