Head support for vehicle seat with backrest

The head cushion is pivotable from a non-usage position, in which it is pivoted under the upper edge of the backrest, into a usage position, in which it is located over the backrest of the vehicle seat. The operating device has an air bellows (32), which is supported on the side of a bearing frame (15) turned away from the pivot direction. The inflation volume is so dimensioned that the air chamber inflation seen in the pivot direction corresponds at least to the pivot path of the bearing frame from the non-usage position to the usage position. The air bellows is connected with a compressed air source (37) which can be activated for at least a short period. The air bellows can be emptied of air for transferring the head cushion from the usage position or an intermediate position back into the non-usage position.
