Bulked textile strand

The bulked textile strand has a knitted structure, with longitudinal rows of stitches and wales in a coil at the circumference. The rows of stitches (1-4) are of stiff ribbon material. The heads (K) and feet (F) of the stitches (A,B), in neighbouring rows (1-4), alternate over each other as ribbon sections in a high and wide format at an angle of about 90 deg to each other. The stitch legs of the stitches (A,B), in opposite rows (1-4), are of ribbon sections in a high format at right angles over each other, so that the gap between two facing rows (1-4) is at least twice the width of the ribbon material, and the stitch structure gives extremely open stitch widths.
