The inner faces (26) of the three circumferentially distributed tappets (25) lie upon the shoulder (24) of the annular component (16) connected to the camshaft. The inner faces only occupy a small part of the axial extent of the tappets. Alternatively there is a radial free space of 0.1 to 0.25 mm between the inner face of the tappets and the outer face of the shoulder. The inner faces of the tappets are manufactured as annular sections coaxial to the camshaft. The outer face of the shoulder is conical.
