Glass fibre-reinforced, polypropylene, double semi-cylindrical collar including thermoplastic elastomer seals

A new sealing collar for pipe connections, is especially suitable for connections or joints of pre-insulated heating circuit pipes. It comprises a pair of shells (1), preferably semi-cylindrical, which join to form a sealed casing. At each end there is a surrounding lip seal (6). These are preferably moulded-on, one-piece, in two-component, plastic pressure injection moulding, using only a single mould to form both shells and seals. The shells are glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene. The seals are a thermoplastic elastomer.
