Method to form stable excavation in soil and unconsolidated ground

The method uses a drive/conveyor appliance to generate compressed gas jets (3) to loosen and move soil and unconsolidated ground. The jets are directed downwards from the top edge of the cut to the floor, and are directed at an angle to a preferably vertical bank. The soil in the stagnation point of the jets, is thrown backwards from the continuing bank along a guide step. The eroded material/waste gas flow is collected by a deflector behind the jet nozzles, and moved upwards into a tubular conveyor. The material flow is maintained until it is discharged and separated in the conventional manner. After every completed process, the drive/conveyor appliance is moved forward to the newly created bank, while the jets are inactive.
