The invention relates to a brush to apply a cosmetic product, particularly to apply mascara to eye lashes or hair tints. Brush is of the type comprising an elongated core (2) formed by helical winding of two metallic wire lengths (3), with bristles (4) radially implanted in core, and tightly supported between twisted lengths, being that brush has a general cylindrical shape, and comprises at least a concave notch (7) which retains product during rubbing against scraper and it is obtained by cutting brush. Such brush type allows to obtain a make up which is at the same time abundant, uniform, and elongating.
