The valve closing member (4) passes through the plastics housing (2) conveying the cold fluid stream (1). It has at least one heat-discharge rib (5c) which extends in the flow direction and projects into the cold fluid stream (1). A valve plate (6) closing the open end of the pipe unit (5) rests on an inner pipe (5a) which is spaced from an outer tube (5b) at least in the area of the plastics housing. The outer tube is pref. made of light metal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Lightweight design of mixer valve for exhaust gases of IC engines with min. heat strain on plastics housing.
