An image processor (20) determines the relative position of images both horizontally and vertically based on content points of partially overlapping images. The movement of recorder between recording of images is indicated by movement vectors. A recorder which can be manually moved to record several images and the partially overlapping contents of the image are used for determining the position of the recorder. An Independent claim is also included for method of recording handwritten information.
