<p>In a polymer dispersion liquid crystal display device (100) in which liquid crystal (14) is dispersed in a polymer (15), the distortion of the gap width between two glass substrates which is caused by a sudden temperature change is avoided and the uniformity of the displayed image is improved. A glass substrate (11) which has voltage application mechanisms (18, 19, 20 and 21) and the other glass substrate (12) face each other, and a liquid crystal layer (17) is held between the substrates (11 and 12). In the liquid crystal layer (17), spherical resin spacers (16) which are compressed elastically in a predetermined temperature range (Δt) at a predetermined ratio by the two glass substrates (11 and 12) are distributed to avoid the distortion of the gap width between the glass substrates which is caused by the temperature change within a predetermined temperature range.</p> |
