An arrangement for supplying air to and removing air from a chamber includes a pipe connecting the room with the atmosphere via a filter which has a hollow cylindrical filter insert in a filter housing (7). The filter housing (7) is placed longitudinally between two pipe sections (1,2) and held using two sliding sealing collars (5,6). An annular space (15) between the filter housing (7) and the filter insert (14) is closed by the filter housing (12,13) at the end of the filter adjacent to the pipe section (1) connected to the atmosphere, and communicates with the other pipe section (2) leading to the chamber. The filter insert (14) is closed at this other end of the filter by a cover (17).
