<p>PURPOSE:To produce efficiently a breathable head restraint, by putting a parison on a netlike body, clamping it in molds, carrying out blow molding, and cutting off part of the molded itsm where the netlike body is located. CONSTITUTION:A stay 20 to which a netlike body 12 will be attached is arranged vertically. Then a tubular parison 30 is melted and extruded from a die of a blow molder from above the stay 20 thereby covering the parison 30 over the stay 20. Thereafter, molds 24a, 24b are closed to clamp the melted parison 30, air is forced into the parison 30 to be expanded thereby bringing the parison in firm contact with the inner surfaces of the cavities 26a, 26b, so that a preparatory molded item having a profile similar to the intended head restraint 14 and possessing the stay 20 inserted therein is formed. Then the central section 34 is cut off from the preparatory molded item with the netlike body 12 left, so that the head restraint 14 having an opening 10 at the central section thereof can be obtained.</p> |
