The invention refers to the derivatives of the bile acids with the general formula I G1-X-G2, in which G1 and G2 stand for the residues of the bile acids and modified bile acids in the form of free acids, esters or amides, in the form of the salts as well as in the forms which are derivatized on alcohol groups and X bridge group or single covalent bond, where G1 and G2 are arbitrarily connected via X. The compounds described in this invention have a great affinity for the specific system of the small intestines for the transport of bile acids and retard the resorption of the bile acids in a competitive way that depends on the concentration.
