The lathe is used in machining rotational profile woodencomponents by longitudinal copying on a flat or based on anoriginal rotative profile templet having also facilities formanual turning operations. By it rotative profile components arecopied without the use of any additional copying device withimproved quality of the machined surfaces and with shavingsremoval from the lower side of the components. The lathe consistsof a front support (1) in which a headstock (2) with a spindle(3), an electric motor (4) are mounted, and in its front sidethere is a control desk (5). Two guides are fitted to the internalside of the front support (1). In front is the cylindrical one (7)with a gear rack, and behind it - the rectangular one (8), and inits other end, by means of body (6) they are fastened by bolts torear support (9). A tailstock (10) is fitted on guides (7 & 8).Device (12) for fixing the copying templet (11) is fitteed on therear side of guide (8). The copying rest is mounted on guides (7 &8), or on sliding bearings (14) and rolling bearings (15),respectively. A mechanism for vertical shifting of a copying knifewith a knifeholder is fitted in the rest, and onto its front sidehandles are fitted for its horizontal shifting by a gear wheel anda lever for manual vertical shifting by a gear wheel and a leverfor manual vertical shifting of the knife.
