PURPOSE:To enable to make automatic loading by saving an auxiliary magnetic head member from a loading passage until a magnetic tape is wound on the peripheral face of a cylinder that forms a rotary head device and after winding, shifting it to face the peripheral face of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 13 in a cassette 10 is pulled out by loading sections 16, 17 and winding is started on a rotary cylinder 22 and a fixed cylinder 21 at a specified angle. In this case, a shifting drum 25a rotates clockwise to prevent interference of an auxiliary magnetic head 24 in the loading passage, and automatic loading action can be made at lowered position. When winding is completed, a motor 25c rotates clockwise and the shifting drum 25a rotates counterclockwise. Then, a long guide hole 25g slanting along guide rollers 25f1- 25fn fixed to the fixed cylinder 21 shifts and the shifting drum 25a moves upward, and becomes the state in which the effective magnetic pole forming part of the auxiliary magnetic head 24 faces over specified extent of rotational locus of the rotary head 23b. |
