A carrying system, preferably for rucksacks, including at least two carrying straps (2, 3) attached to the upper and lower portions of the rucksack (1) and intended to engage against, and extend over, the shoulders and chest of the wearer for fixing the rucksack against the back of the wearer. Each strap (2, 3) extends in a curve in over the wearer's chest and the straps are mutually fixable by thongs (12) at a predetermined, regulatable spacing, said thongs extending through a plurality of holes (11) made longitudinally in each strap. The thongs (12) can be pulled out from the respective strap (2, 3) to form loops (13, 15) which can be jointed to each other with the aid of a connection device (14) for positionally fixing the straps (2, 3) in a given position on the chest. |
