PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply hard copy to a transfer body while displaying an optical image on a display panel, by using a material of which the electrooptical property changes by electric field redox reaction. CONSTITUTION:The pressure conductive member 2 provided on a conductive substrate 1 and a second member 3, of which the electrooptical property changes by electric field redox reaction, are provided. A conductive member 8 having the same electric resistance as a metal is placed on the surface of a display panel and, to the under side of the first member 2, a roller charging device 10 charging the under surface of said first member 2 while rolling is provided and voltage is applied between the member 8 and the roller charging device 10 by a DC power source 9 to display an optical image. This electrostatic latent image is developed by charged toner or charged ink and, thereafter, the developed toner or ink image is transferred to a transfer body such as paper to make it possible to obtain hard copy. |
